Performs supervision of the employees and coordinates necessary actions to improve quality and efficiency of café operation. Monitors compliance of employees with all sanitation standards from state, city, and federal groups. Performs functions associated with cash handling. Assists with meal service to patients and customers. Provides good customer service and performs service recovery as needed.
Knowledge & Skills:
Must be able to demonstrate understanding of national patient safety initiatives by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures as required by both HCA and North Austin Medical Center.
Required: High school graduate or GED equivalent
Required: Minimum of three years experience in a retail or hospital food service department; Supervisor experience including scheduling, performance improvement, ordering, inventory, budget control, and money handling. Experience with cash handling.
Preferred: Computer skill
Required: State Food Handlers Certification Permit within one week of hire
