Dell EMC has an exciting and challenging opportunity in the US Revenue Assurance (GRA) Team. The team is primarily responsible for compliance with internal and external (US GAAP) Revenue Recognition guidance while maximizing the benefits to Dell EMC and its customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Revenue Recognition Transformation Program (R2TP) as we implement the new FASB Revenue Standard Guidance under ASC-606 and move towards automation through the use and implementation of RevPro.
This visible role is located within the Business Accounting and Operations (BAO) work stream. The BAO work stream will work cross-functionally with the operational business functions, Data, IT, and Policy teams to determine process impacts and assist in developing the future state.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, technical expertise in systems specifically SAP, the ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of the organization, excellent customer service skills, a strong desire to improve processes, knowledge of Revenue Recognition guidance and familiarity with Dell EMC offerings and Go-To-Market strategies.
+ Influence, drive and implement changes in all areas related to Revenue Compliance to improve processes, customer service and to maintain the highest level of integrity in accounting
+ Provide advice and support Sales and Operations organizations, while translating complex accounting issues during contract/deal negotiations to ensure deals are structured in accordance with our Revenue Recognition policy and U.S. GAAP to maximize revenue.
+ Responsible for ensuring Revenue transactions are reviewed, documented and accounted for in compliance with our Revenue Recognition Policy, US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley 404 (SOX).
+ Collaborate with Global Revenue Assurance colleagues to achieve maximum consistency in best practice, policy application and judgmental decisions.
+ Ability to work well with all levels of the organization including Sales, Business Operations, Legal, Services, Corporate Finance and Tax.
+ Translate SAP configurations and system implementations according between IT and GRA Team
+ Act as liaison with project business stakeholders and multiple teams
+ Determine where efficiency and automation gains can be made
+ Ability to mentor, develop and retain staff and, in collaboration with others, to drive sound business decisions.
+ Ability to identify key risk areas, contemplate alternatives, draw conclusions and recommend and implement changes to mitigate any risk to EMC.
+ Ability to break down and summarize technical Revenue and Accounting guidance to provide clear operational guidance to functions such as Sales, Legal, Services, Business Operations, Software Licensing, Global Financial Services and Pricing so they can better understand the reporting implications of different deal structures and Go To Market strategies.
