The Supervisor, reports to Sr. Distribution Center (DC) Leader and interfaces with all levels of the organization internal (local management) and external (other distribution sites, and headquarters) partners. 

 

The Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Backing up the Sr. DC Leader when out of office
  • Ensuring material availability, timely distribution and customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring department KPI’s are monitored and maintained to include training, employee development, attendance and safety
  • Creating training plans and delivering training to associates
  • Assisting in all continuous improvements, and work with Sr. Leader for area scheduling, purchasing, reporting and management (including on system) and system training for all Stock Replenishment Material Handlers to ensure inventory accuracy and data integrity
  • Helping in coordination of system improvements to increase efficiency and productivity in all areas of the Distribution Center
  • Working with local Quality department to ensure timely execution of Observations, NC’s and CAPA’s.
  • Prioritizing workloads, monitors and adjusts daily work schedules, and distributes projects to ensure schedules are met
  • Implementing material management and distribution policies and standards
  • Acquiring quotes for equipment and supplies and place orders through purchasing system (ARIBA)
  • Ensuring product is replenished and available for processing of sales orders
  • Cooperating with relevant department to arrange the inventory levels and delivery times, and establishes alignment with the other supply chain partners
  • Participating in developing department budget and management of this budget
  • Analyzing changes in the inventory of material and finished goods, and makes recommendation as appropriate
  • Resolving customer complaints
  • Effective communication and collaboration with Senior Management and internal/external stakeholders

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required, an advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in warehouse and/or distribution is required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Lead/Supervisory position.
  • Progressive Customer Service, Production and Inventory Control Work Experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization required
  • Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Inventory Control Systems experience is required
  • Logistics planning and project management experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly matrix environment and ability to influence across organizational boundaries is required
  • Demonstrated Change Leadership Skills is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work under time constraints and manage complexity is required
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts in a constructive way by addressing the needs of all parties, eventually bringing about a conclusive outcome is required
  • Demonstrated PC skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and project management experience is required
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is required, JDEdwards software experience is preferred
  • Experience and/or certification in LEAN Six Sigma is preferred  
  • May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel
