00065316Responsible for supervision and scheduling of transport drivers or common carriers transporting finished goods to sales centers. The Transportation Supervisor will also be responsible for supervision of the employees in the shipping and receiving department. Job Responsibility • Ensure/manage replenishment distribution to the WBU is effective, productive and timely. • Review, monitor and address full good inventory levels to minimize potential out of stock risk to sales. • Work with Planning and Transportation Team to schedule and prioritize product replenishments (STOs). • Establish and foster a culture of continuous improvement based on Operational Excellence (OE) tools, training and Certification. • High level of Customer Service focus and response required as an operations liaison to the Distribution Centers. • Manage inventory levels to plan at third party warehouses. • Train, develop and monitor Transportation Drivers and direct reports to achieve maximum productivity. • Maintain maximum/optimum fleet utilization through effective load/route planning and dispatch for transport drivers • Labor planning and utilization of Transportation Drivers and other direct reports. • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal DOT regulations and CCR safety policies. • Facilitate Monthly Safety Training for Transportation Drivers and direct reports. • Actively participate with Warehouse/Dock management teams within the Division. • Optimize Shipping, Receiving and Transportation POD. • Generate, prepare, review and file daily reports. • Other duties as assigned by the Area Private Fleet Plant Manager.
Requirements• High School Diploma or GED required. • Bachelor's degree preferred. • Transportation and/or Logistics Supervisory experience in direct delivery sales or beverage industry highly preferred. • Experience in Manufacturing Environment is preferred. • 2 years supervision in union environment is preferred. • Core knowledge of OE tools methodology. • Possess general knowledge of Union agreements and procedures. • Good analytical, verbal, written, presentation and communication skills. • 3-4 years in Supply Chain / Logistics environments. • Ability to think strategically with high level of patience in dealing with critical situations. • Previous experience in Replenishment Planning / Distribution is preferred. • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
