Key Responsibilities

General Duties:
  • Drive technology requirement alignment across the BU's and across the supply base
  • Investigate emerging suppliers and technologies that can be disruptors for Applied
  • Liaison with Applied engineering teams to understand BU technical requirements and look for / drive commonality where appropriate

  • Assess the technical trade-offs compared to cost trade-offs for coatings and cleaning techniques for different applications
  • Conduct should costing on supplier products to understand actual cost drivers and the technical and commercial impact of changing them
  • Investigate in-sourcing of technologies where appropriate for commercial and technical factors

  • Regarded as the technical expert in their particular field
  • Demonstrates in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function

  • Anticipates business and regulatory issues; recommends product, process or service improvements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 - 15 Years of Experience
