Overall responsibility for the development, implementation, and management of all warehousing, materials supply, unitizing, and finished goods processes/systems at theFort Worthfacility. This position will be directly responsible, but not limited to, the following processes/systems: entire materials supply chain, raw materials supply to manufacturing, manufacturing scheduling, unitizing, all warehousing functions - materials and finished goods, receiving and shipping functions, inventory control, and tote management. Member of theFort Worth,TXFood Safety Team.
Management of receipt, inventory, and supply of all SKU's.
Manage issuing purchase orders, receipt, storage, handling and supply of all raw materials to the manufacturing process.
Develop, implement, and maintain an efficient production planning process that is flexible and responsive to manufacturing efficiencies while meeting customer demands and expectations.
Manage unitizing of raw materials for the production process.
Management of the Tote Tracking System to ensure ample supply of totes to the manufacturing process while minimizing capital investment.
Maintenance of accurate physical inventory processes and systems.
Manage continuous improvement/cost savings initiatives.
Direct supervision of 12 hourly employees across 3 shifts of operation
Has responsibility for management of all supply chain functions of a 30+ million pound per year fruit preparation business employing 50+ people.
BS in Operations Management or applicable field, or equivalent experience in a Materials/Supply Chain Supervisory or Management role.
Know-how/ Professional Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a Materials supervision or management role, food manufacturing operation preferred.
Must have excellent computer skills, including Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office products.
Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven ERP experience required.
SAP experience preferred.
Problem solving skills required, exposure to lean manufacturing principles a plus.
