Job Description

Under limited supervision, engages with internal customers to determine requirements that can be provided through external suppliers.

Follows a process to structure requirements, analyzes the supply base to identify potential suppliers, structures formal and informal information gathering exercises (i.e. Requests for Proposals), works with the customer to assess responses, and occasionally assists contract managers in negotiating agreements. Responsibilities:

• Manage suppliers

• Negotiate contracts for a broad range of services for Capital One ranging from larger more complex engagements that result from sourcing to smaller and less risky transactions that the business engages in directly

• Provide day-to-operational advice, problem solving, miscellaneous activities for various internal customers

• Provide internal process improvement and improvement of the Procurement organization. That includes improving several areas:

 (1) third party management and other policies

 (2) interaction models with IT and Legal (3) interaction models with the lines of business Level: Manager Under limited supervision, engages with internal customers to determine requirements that can be provided through external suppliers. Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Business

• 5 years of experience in Sourcing (RFP development, internal business area interaction and coordination, supplier negotiations, supplier management, problem solving, presentation skills) for sourcing position.

• 5 years of experience in Contract review and negotiation for contract management positions (negotiating all facets of contracts / SOW's / amendments / escrow agreements / etc. for a wide range of deal sizes from small to very large)

• 1 year of experience in Project management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Supply Chain Management

• CPM

• 10 Years of experience in Sourcing (RFP development, internal business area interaction and coordination, supplier negotiations, supplier management, problem solving, presentation skills) for sourcing position.

• 10 years of experience in Contract review and negotiation for contract management positions (negotiating all facets of contracts / SOW's / amendments / escrow agreements / etc. for a wide range of deal sizes from small to very large)
