As the Global Supply Chain Lead, the Supply Chain Senior Manager will provide Global Planning oversight and change management for Amgen Commercial and late stage pipeline Products bridging Regions, Alliances, Sites, Finance, and Network requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Provide Supply planning leadership by product across the network.
Interface with different functions at various level of detail, with the responsibility to summarize and highlight issues to Executive Level management.
Propose alternative supply approaches to optimize patient supply (MFC) and financial goals (Scrap, Inventory Levels, and cycle times).
Provide Supply Chain representation to one or more Product Delivery and CMC teams (Global Operations Teams).
Manage a portfolio of product lifecycle activities to include introduction, technical transfers and licensing while ensuring integration and alignment of regional and global lifecycle activities.
Manage monthly global planning assumptions and the planning process.
Analyze and monitor global demand trends and recommend actions to match demand and supply.
Collaborate with Network Planning roles to manage the communication and change requirements related to changes in dependent supply that impact regional requirements.
Responsibility for product level, both pipeline and commercial products, Long Range strategic planning.
Own gathering product specific physical /financial flow charts and Value Stream Maps.
Consolidate and facilitate key inventory system assumptions such as Safety Stock Target, GR Times, Lot Sizes, and allocation of inventory locations.
Monitor key product specific global supply chain metrics and proactively look for opportunities for improvement.
Share and adopt best practices across the Global Supply Chain network.
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Supply Chain experience OR
Master's degree and 6 years of Supply Chain experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Supply Chain experience OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Supply Chain experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Supply Chain experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters' Degree in Business, Engineering or Science
6+ years of related industry experience, with an understanding of demand, supply chain and logistics principles
Experience in working with integrated advanced ERP planning systems
Experience in working in an international environment, ability to liaise/communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and different cultures
Perseverance and Problem Solving Skills
Analytical and structured process improvement
Influencing and communication skills (Strong presentation skills to ED, VP, SVP levels)
