DESCRIPTION: This role is for Americas Service Parts distributed inventory planning for next business day products, with a focus on planning as it relates to channel and retail customers. Focus will be on understanding platforms sold into the channel as well as the sell out plans. This person will have to translate those into service parts and align with the commodity planners to ensure supply is available in time to support the sell out plans. This will include Best Buy as well as the other channel/distributors for the Americas as a starting point for scope. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory. Responsibilities include: Manage backlog orders to support customers. Partner with NPI team on seeding for both new products and post RTS parts. Work with business operations to provide feedback on SPM parameters which impact stocking levels. Scrub misses and review for opportunities to improve the tool or current processes. Measure cross functional cycle times and understand outliers or trends and make necessary adjustments. Review the and improve the supply chain by identifying inefficiencies, such as subs not being linked Work with the DLP to optimize inventory through E&O purges and redistribution orders. Balance CE & cost to meet goals for both Provides deep subject matter expertise, advice and program delivery. Contributes to the development of new techniques and plans within area of expertise. Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities. Implement new or improved supply chain processes. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance. Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products. Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service. Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving. QUALIFICATION: Qualifications: Ability to drive collaboration across cross functional teams Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills Good analytically skills with functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, SQL Aptitude to learn new tools/systems Process focused Advanced Time Management skills Flexibility to change with business needs Minimum of Undergraduate degree or 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related fields In-depth understanding of Dell goals, customer requirements and knowledge of competitor practices. Thorough understanding of Dell business priorities, strategy and direction. Thorough understanding and management of customer businessneedsand expectations.
