Global Operations is responsible for manufacturing and delivering Dell EMC hardware solutions to customers around the globe. The Supply Planning Business Analyst reports into the Dell EMC Supply Planning team, within the Dell EMC Global Operations World Wide Planning Organization. The Dell EMC Supply Planning team ensures alignment between internal plant and external manufacturing build plans, material supply plans and sales revenue plans at a product, mix and geography level.
The Supply Planning Business Analyst plays a key role in ensuring Dell EMC’s revenue and cash flow goals are met while optimizing inventory and factory capacity costs. This individual develops and maintains product support plans in collaboration with Sales Business Operations, Product Management teams, and Plant/GEM Planning teams. In addition, this role collaborates with Sales Business Operations and the Plant Planning teams to ensure supply planning process stability, efficiency and effectiveness.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**
‒ Develops product supply plans on a monthly basis
‒ Maintains product supply plans against actual shipments
‒ Develops a basic understanding of the assigned Product(s) and how they fit into the overall Dell EMC Product and Solution portfolio
‒ Collaborates with Sales Business Operation and Product Management teams to ensure any product lifecycle changes are properly reflected in product supply plans
‒ Plays lead role in Supply Planning integration initiatives between legacy EMC and Dell teams
‒ Identifies supply planning process improvements as needed to ensure stability and effectiveness
‒ Collaborates with business partners and key stakeholders to ensure process improvements are completed in a timely fashion
‒ Bachelor’s degree (non-technical) with 4+ years relevant experience
‒ Strong business analysis skills; ability to analyze and synthesize information and apply to business needs
‒ Savvy with data extraction and data manipulation
‒ Strong computer skills, including advanced excel (v-lookups, Pivot tables, graphing)
‒ SAP or other enterprise ERP system experience
‒ Accountable, self-directed and resourceful; works independently, asks for help when needed
‒ Attention to detail
