Medical City North Hills is licensed for 164 beds and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. North Hills also has Disease Specific Certification by the Joint Commission for hip, knee, shoulder and cardiac service lines and we are a designated Level IV trauma center. Our specialty services and honors include being the first hospital in the U.S. to have a Cycle 4 Chest Pain Center and the first in North Texas to attain Cycle 5 accreditation. We have Primary Stroke Center certification by the Joint Commission and also specialize in total joint replacement and cardiac care. North Hills Hospital is a part of HCA .

We are currently looking to add a House Supervisor RN (PRN) to our team.

Position Summary : Supervises and coordinates the operational and personnel activities for the nursing areas and acts as an administrative liaison for other departments of the hospital for a defined shift. The North Hills Hospital staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from newborn through adolescence. The attached criteria based performance evaluation provides a specific set of standards as they relate to age specific competency.
Qualifications:
Position Qualifications :

1. Education :
A. Graduate of a school of professional nursing.
B. Baccalaureate degree preferred.

2. Experience :
A. Four (4) years of relevant work experience.

3. Specific Requirements :
A. Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted; Texas State RN license required 30 days after hire
B. Current in CPR. ACLS preferred.
C. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
D. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, physicians, patients and visitors.
E. Clinically proficient in nursing skills, demonstrates knowledge of the developmental needs of patients of all age groups.
F. Possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
G. Knowledge of JCAHO and Medicare standards.
