•This individual's primary roles are to lead Alcon's IOL calculation consultation program and to work collaboratively with the Senior Therapeutic Area Leads in US/CAN Surgical Medical Affairs, supporting Alcon's products used in cataract, refractive, vit/ret, and glaucoma surgery.

•Provide consultative services to surgeons seeking information related to IOL power calculations for complex cases (post corneal refractive, post retinal surgery, and post cataract surgery (IOL exchange/piggyback IOL cases).

•Work collaboratively with the Senior Therapeutic Area Leads in US/CAN Surgical Medical Affairs, providing scientific/medical leadership and support for products and devices in various stages of clinical development and lifecycle management of approved products in Alcon's cataract surgery portfolio.

•Communicate routinely with peer leadership in key US/Canada Medical functions (e.g. HE&OR, Therapeutic Areas, Medical Information, Regulatory Affairs, etc.) to ensure proper communication, alignment of strategies and execution of key initiatives and therapeutic area medical affairs plans.

•Support clinical development with regional input on target product profiles, health economics and outcomes research needs and lifecycle management.

•Serve as the internal expert for the assigned therapeutic area, with responsibility for review and approval of IIT concepts, professional information request responses.

•Minimum: 5 years of directly related experience

•Preferred: 5+ years of experience cataract and ophthalmic surgery, preoperative diagnostics, and IOL power calculations.
