This position is a Systems Development Senior Engineer for Dell's PCIe SSD solutions team.  The PCIe SSD team is closely tied to most of the development organizations, including the server teams, OS teams, systems management, and BIOS teams.  The position provides the opportunity for setting the technical and design direction for the new NVMe storage subsystem and responsibility for its implementation into the larger server and storage product lines.  This includes feature definition, supplier selection, development process execution and improvement, integration testing, fault isolation and resolution, manufacturing release, and resolution of design issues found in the field.The PCIe SSD engineer is responsible for providing technical contribution to the specification; to development of SSD based storage solutions; and for debug of interactions at the system PCIe level and up to the OS driver stacks.  Duties include all activities necessary to take a design from concept to production including, architecture definition, schematics, debug, test, issue resolution and factory ramp support. 
Qualifications
Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.  Working knowledge of key RAID concepts: striping, caching, parity, failure & recovery, redundancy, performance, IOP hardware acceleration.  Windows, Linux or VMware Operating system experience and driver development conceptual understanding a plus.  Target is a BS EE/CE/CS with 0-4 years of experience or MS EE/CE/CS with 0-2 years of experience.
