Job Description: Creates, defines and develops system validation environment and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platform-level tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams in improving post-silicon test content and providing feedback for future on-die debug features.
BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
Understanding of system architecture and/or micro-architecture for processor, PCH, SOC, Servers.
Proficiency in being able to drive system level debug leveraging appropriate tools and architectural knowledge to get to root cause
An ability to understand the bigger picture and connect to dots to drive resolution of system/project level issues to drive larger team forward.
Post silicon electrical/mixed-signal circuit validation or circuit marginality validation.
Coding skills in
C, C#, C or other OO programming language
In a scripting environment (Python or Perl preferred)
Knowledge in areas such as Semiconductor device physics, Digital electronics, HVM, VLSI design, Assembly/OS programming, Data structures, Statistical data analysis would be a plus.
Experience working in an AGILE environment.
