Job Description
The Senior Associate will be part of Application Resilience Engineering Group working as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Quality Assurance experience and will monitor alerts, collect metrics of application performance. Work closely with application support and development teams to maintain measurable application performance for both internal and customer facing applications. The SRE will use the metrics to increase the overall quality and user experience of our applications. The candidate must be experienced with Software Quality and is a self-motivated individual with cross functional knowledge in software development and maintenance.
 Responsibilities
  • Main responsibility is for the configuration and operation of Dynatrace as applied to business application performance enhancements and infrastructure support.
  • Secondary responsibility is configuration and operations monitoring tools.
  • As part of the team performs configuration and infrastructure support of monitoring tools.
  • Configures monitoring/alerting/reporting for availability, performance & capacity management.
  • Performs installation and upgrade of Dynatrace and other monitoring tools.
  • Works closely with application development teams during release rollout to analyze application performance impact and troubleshoot issues.
  • Makes technical recommendations on application performance improvement initiatives and other monitoring.
  • Work closely with the administration, delivery and operations specialists to ensure proper tuning and operation of the systems.
  • Collaborating with SQA, Development and Support teams to resolve performance related issues.

Qualifications
  • 2+ Years of proven experience in Testing and using testing tools is required.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
  • Experience with design and execution test scripts with tools like Load Runner etc.
  • Some experience with Profiling of application for performance.
  • 2+ years of application development, support and performance management is required.
  • Exposure to performance and monitoring tools is required.
  • Proven understanding of web technologies and distributed application architecture is required.
  • Proven understanding of full life cycle software development methodologies is required.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex application logic flow is required..
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to think outside normal scenarios is required.
  • Ability to work as part of and with teams is required.
  • Understating of load balancers, general network infrastructure is a plus.
  • Experience with profiling applications for quality and performance issues.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Load Runner etc.
  • SQL skill to write/rewrite existing queries for better performance.
  • 3-4 years of experience working with applications using Java/J2EE.
