Responsible for the overall production systems software including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. Designs, implements/installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve procedures. May be included in various projects and participate in disaster recovery exercises. Generally focuses on projects for one or more of the following disciplines: Windows, storage, reporting, testing, middleware, or other software.
1. Responsible for support and maintenance of production and non-production systems in data centers and field offices. Monitors the level 3 helpdesk problem ticket queue and responds to end-user questions and inquiries. This position will be included in the Infrastructure Operations on-call and ticketing rotation.
2. Provides technical assistance and engineering support while ensuring that proactive monitoring of production systems is in place. Work with and support internal project development teams during upgrades and installation of existing and new implementations.
3. Manage and support Active Directory users and systems. Continually develop and maintain technical standards documentation including procedural and resolution techniques in maintaining maximum system availability and performance levels.
4. Both primary and backup SME to various infrastructure technologies, working towards developing and maintaining Microsoft technology skill sets. Work closely with peers across teams including Networking, Security, Architecture, Development, QA and PMO.

4-year college degree in a related field or equivalent experience
1-3 years experience administering some or all of the following
Microsoft Server and Active Directory technologies
Symantec Anti-virus and/or other Antivirus applications
Outstanding organizational skills plus an ability to manage concurrent projects and activities
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows Server 2008/2012, MS SQL Server, DNS, Active Directory
Experience working with storage systems
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, messaging, and directory services
Monitoring tools – System Center Operations Manager preferred
System Center Configuration Manager knowledge preferred
Scripting – Powershell preferred
Microsoft Certification or Preferred knowledge - (expected to complete training and certification for MCSA by end of first year in the position)
Background managing & supporting virtualization technologies – preferably Vmware (expected to complete Vmware training & be associate certified by end of first year in the position)
