What you’ll be doing...

Our Network Engineering team keeps us ahead of the competition. You will proactively provide support for overall network performance with an emphasis on RAN performance and use a wide variety of tools to ensure optimal and reliable service for our customers. Additionally, you will constantly evaluate and improve performance trends and take action to investigate and resolve performance degradations. You’ll have a positive impact on our organization, and change the way that our customers live, work, and play.

  • Evaluate Service Performance trends using system or drive data.

  • Isolate root causes and impacted services, features and markets.

  • Perform VoLTE testing with understanding and analyses of relevant Key Performance Indicators.
  • Coordinate technical investigations and testing with appropriate regional, area and HQ functions.

  • Provide technical analysis, troubleshooting, and training assistance to markets and regions as requested.

  • Optimize LTE and RAN Networks using traditional and innovative means.

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding service.

  • Interact with customers (internal and external).

  • Integrate new cell sites, small cells, and DAS systems into existing macro Network.

  • Work with RF Design to modify network.

  • Take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.

  • Partner with colleagues and with various departments (Area and HQ Network, Network Operations, Network Engineering, Maintenance Engineering) and vendors to implement changes and troubleshoot.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree with one or more years of work experience.
  • One or more years of relevant experience.
  • Telecom experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of LTE including VoLTE and RAN Networks.
  • Knowledge of IP and transport protocols.
  • Knowledge of at least one data collection tool such as Datapro, and TEMS Symphony.
  • Knowledge of data analysis/post-processing tools such as Irisview, Windcatcher/Actix/TEMS Discovery.
  • Knowledge of propagation and optimization modeling tools such as ATOLL, Planet, GeoPlan, ACP, DB Planner.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Python, Unix, scripting tools.
  • Knowledge of mapping software such as MapInfo, ArcGIS, Topo.
  • One or more Systems Performance experience.
  • Strong statistical and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of Ericsson systems including OSS.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP LTE standards.
  • Ability to understand, compile, evaluate, and present complex data and solutions.
  • Ability to differentiate and diagnose RAN and CORE related problems; understanding of Systems Engineering aspects related to RAN & proficiency in Core level call flow analysis.
  • Understanding of IMS.
  • Proven ability to work extremely well in a team.
