Praxair Surface Technologies (PST), a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., a Fortune 300 company that supplies atmospheric, process, specialty gases, high-performance coatings, and related services & technologies is seeking a Talent Acquisition / Learning & Development Manager in Indianapolis, IN.

Reporting to the HR Director, this individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategic Talent Management (i.e. Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development) solutions to effectively manage customer needs for Praxair Surface Technologies Americas group.

Talent Acquisition / Learning & Development Manager
  • Build and maintain relationships and business related knowledge to support recruitment activities
  • Identify and implement proactive sourcing, assessment and selection strategies (i.e. direct sourcing, networking, cold calling, employee referral programs, conference/association attendance, etc.)
  • Manage and maintain the integrity and accuracy of all staffing related data in the Applicant Tracking System and related systems
  • Conduct pre-screening and face to face interviews to assess candidate‚Äôs abilities, qualifications and fit

    Training and Development
  • Partner with HR and business unit leaders to perform needs analysis, recommend appropriate solutions and lead the development and execution of appropriate training
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create comprehensive development programs and solutions for all employees, aligned with the needs of the business and reflective of our core values
  • Work with teams to enhance existing new employee induction, training and coaching program.
  • Partner with Corporate HR teams to develop dynamic, effective and engaging development programs that can be delivered via diverse learning methodologies appropriate to the program purpose and design
  • Deliver instructor-led training (classroom and virtual)
  • Keep abreast of trends in the Learning and Organization Development field; work with external vendors to bring appropriate programs in-house
  • Recommend courses and maintain a Learning Management System to track employee development

    Other
  • Ensure compliance with corporate goals and standards (e.g. talent and diversity initiatives)
  • Develop, manage, measure and communicate to broader HR team members innovative and industry best practices
  • Ensure the provision of reporting data and metrics on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Manage all Talent Acquisition and L&D costs associated with delivering solutions for customer group
  • Participation and/or leadership of HR projects as needed
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
  • 3 years experience corporate recruiting experience in Fortune 100/500 companies
  • 3 years experience internet sourcing and candidate relationship management techniques (i.e. LinkedIn, AIRS, boolean searches, etc)
  • Strong assessment and interviewing skills
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practices and US employment laws
  • Demonstrated ability to mine passive job seekers and make cold calls to candidates and referrals
  • Learning and Development curriculum design (individual and organizational level)
  • Previous experience delivering training in a professional and engaging manner; demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter and content.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lominger Competency model
  • Computer savvy in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Experience with Skillsoft and Taleo is a plus

    Preferred:
  • Masters degree or SPHR certification a plus
  • Excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Must possess strong business acumen, the ability to drive results through others, strong analytical and negotiation skills, excellent process orientation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong influencing skills are required in order to facilitate discussions across businesses, functions and geographies with all levels of personnel internally and externally
