The Talent Management Analytics Manager reports to the head of the Talent Management and Analytics team. The Manager works closely with functional and regional HR leadership to ensure Talent analytics processes and programs are sustainable, globally scalable, and support the organization's growth strategies. This includes leading research projects using advanced techniques to address critical business questions. Leads design, implementation, and reporting for Amgen's global All Staff engagement survey and provides on-going consultation on survey best practices. Also responsible to stay informed of best practices and provide innovative, impactful ideas to enhance measurement tools and processes to support Amgen's Best Place for Talent initiatives. Lead applied research studies to evaluate the effectiveness of Talent Management programs; translate key findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations to inform decision-making.
Lead advanced descriptive and inferential analyses of data (e.g., performance metrics, talent assessment, turnover, and engagement) to identify trends and opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders; provide on-going collaboration and consultation to inform how best to leverage data insights to address business needs.
Gather data from various sources (e.g., employee surveys, archival data); evaluate and assimilate information to deliver accurate and insightful analyses.
Develop and maintain predictive models using data mining and statistical methods to identify opportunities and provide insights.
Work with HR Technology and HR Metrics and Reporting to support development and maintenance of an advanced analytics infrastructure to enable real time predictive analytics.
Lead partnership with HR Technology team on the identification and maintenance of survey and measurement technology/platforms.
Lead the global Amgen All Staff engagement survey in partnership with key internal stakeholders and external partners; provide consultation on survey best practices.
Lead the development of globally scalable processes and programs to support Talent Analytics across the Amgen enterprise.
Develop project plans to ensure projects are documented, executed, and sustained.
Proactively seek buy-in from key stakeholders and engage in continual communication regarding project status and milestones.
Provide direct oversight of external vendor partners and/or contract workers assigned to relevant projects and initiatives within scope of responsibility.
Support communication and change management regarding Talent Management analytics strategies to uncover insights and inform decision-making.
Support best practices in Talent analytics with peers across the organization, both in HR and in other functional areas.
Keep current on trends in Talent Analytics (e.g., professional association and educational groups, and professional development efforts).

Doctorate degree OR
Master's degree and 2 years of Human Resources experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Human Resources experience OR

5+ years of experience in Human Resources to include experience working in a Center of Excellence (i.e., Talent Management, Learning and Development).
Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology.
Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated capability to manage many large and complex datasets.
Excellent collaborator with ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Outstanding communication and consulting skills with capability to translate findings into insights and recommend actions that directly support business need.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word; working knowledge of macros, VBA, and/or Access.
Advanced knowledge of business intelligence and predictive modeling tools (R, SAS, Tableau, SPSS) and data mining techniques and software.
Advanced knowledge of research design, program evaluation, and data analytics.
Experience in the practical application of psychometrics and multivariate statistics in a global organization with a focus on HR and Talent Management data.
Ability to balance a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing demands.
Self-directed and willing to take informed risks.
Experience managing large projects on a global scale involving multiple functions and shared accountabilities.
Knowledge of integrated talent systems/platforms (e.g., Workday).
Professional accreditation (ASTD, SHRM, SIOP).
