Seeking a Tax Manager for a possible temp to hire position.
Work closely with Director and service providers (if needed) to: analyze exposures, proactively remedy exposures, communicate, schedule, and defend state tax audits and notices.
Identify and analyze exposure and compliance gaps.
Review and maintain an active list of audits/exposures and report monthly to director.
Review FAS5 proposed accruals.
Analyze documents which answer audit IDRs. Provide timely responses to these requests after reviewing with director.
Review S&U and Income tax Nexus for all legal entities and report to director quarterly.
Review Sales & Use tax technical opinions to internal sources (billing staff, sales reps, etc¿) and Customers.
Correspond directly with customers and/or internal sales staff as to tax details on invoices or prospective changes in taxation.
Review monthly compliance and/or assist with the compliance process (as needed).
Special projects as assigned (M&A integration, Income tax projects, VDA¿s, Nexus projects, system conversions/upgrades, etc¿).
Centralize, manage and service all audits in-house in Wilton.
Develop a detailed schedule to capture all audits that would serve to summarize for director and provide the detailed exposure measures required for the respective finance division directors.
Assist the S&U tax team in rising to a more visible level of internal and external servicing.
Assist the S&U tax team to identify and analyze exposure and compliance gaps.
Effective team member and representative to personnel in other tax areas.
Bachelor¿s degree in Accounting required.
A high level of communication and writing skills.
Minimum 8 years of experience in Sales & Use tax area.
Minimum 6 years of experience corresponding with tax auditors.
Experience with SAP and vertex version O and Q is preferred.
