PricewaterhouseCoopers is nationally recognized for its in-depth technical knowledge and experience in taxation. Our National Operations Group features a multi-disciplined staff including: accountants, attorneys, economists and technologists from a variety of backgrounds, including former government officials (e.g., from the Treasury Department, the IRS and Congressional tax staffs), corporate tax directors, tax professionals from law firms, technology professionals and tax advisors from the Firm's practice offices. Team members serve as business advisors to clients by: monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory tax developments; assisting clients in developing strategies in anticipation of tax law changes and regulatory developments;
analyzing the economic impact of tax legislation and federal budget proposals; and addressing technology needs to support tax function effectiveness.Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Years of Experience: 3
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business related field provided all of the minimum requirements are met for CPA licensure per respective state regulations
Certification(s) Preferred: CPA, Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Six Sigma Green Belt
Comprehensive knowledge of the tax issues facing multinational US companies or publically traded entities, with an emphasis on tax compliance and consulting services tailored to organizations with domestic operations and the goal of tax minimization.
Working knowledge of FAS 109 and related software, Beta Management, Organization Design, Process Improvement, Controls, and Risk Management.
Some knowledge of general tax.
Working knowledge of FAS 109 and FIN 48.
Demonstrated experience identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm services; managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues.
Demonstrated experience as a team leader: creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.
• Tax compliance process automation
1, Help engagement teams (sometimes the client) to automate and streamline
current tax process by utilizing technologies and developing customized Excel tool.
2, Work closely with software development team to develop new functions and improve performance.
3, Conduct system troubleshoots and communicate bugs new requirements to the development team
• Tax Data Management
1, Manage tax data in tax systems including data upload, data update and data cleansing
2, Review tax data in the various of systems to ensure data accuracy for tax compliance purposes
• Tax Reporting
1, Utilizing tax data from different sources system to generate different tax reports
2, Assist software development to develop and test tax data visualization tools.
• Tax Compliance
1, Assist with reviewing tax return, updating TRACK and Gosystems
