TD Product Development Engineer
Responsible for ensuring the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp. Make significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits. Evaluation, development and debug of complex test methods. Develops and debugs complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment. Creates and tests validation and production test hardware solutions. Tests, validates, modifies and re-designs circuits to guarantee component margin to specification. Analyzes and evaluates component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability. Analyzes early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities. Creates and applies concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints. Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
PTD is responsible for developing advanced silicon process technologies and high-volume silicon manufacturing. The TD PDE group is responsible for developing test programs and methodologies to support this development across several vehicles and process technologies simultaneously with focus on process and design development 2-4 years ahead of product. Test development includes a variety of test circuits including: SRAM, DRAM, ROM, RF, Scan, GT, and many various IO and collateral circuits. The successful candidate is responsible for all aspects of test development, including pattern and test development, pre-silicon validation and post-silicon debug. The candidate will work closely with Design, Design-Validation, Yield and Quality & Reliability engineers to define and validate test requirements. The successful candidate will also work both within the group and with customers to drive improvements to design for test, test methodology, and operations. Minimum qualifications: PHD Degree or MS 5yr experience in some aspect of Product Development Engineering such as pattern development, design validation, test tape development, design for test, or post-Si debug. Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated work in a dynamic team environment. - Experience in device or circuit design, layout or testing. - Experience with device characterization and instrumentation. - Practical programming experience in instrument control.
