Pay Rate/Salary: $14.00-14.00Assist with training new temporary employees by providing on the job training
This is a hands-on working position designed to help support our Staffmark team and customer when additional help is needed during peak operating times. Working Team leaders spend the majority of their time on production work but have some additional tasks assigned to assist with the shift operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Help with shift start ups and check in processes
Assist coworkers with questions about the production work
Escalate challenges and problems to the customer's management team and Staffmark as needed
Helps to ensure work is performed accurately
Safety compliance- sets example and helps new employees receive PPEs
Understand production requirements and quotas
Provide effective communications and follow up to Staffmark and the customer's management team
May provide training support for on the job training
Good interpersonal skills, works well within a team environment
Strong communication skills
Working knowledge and expertise of various jobs in assigned department or the assigned production line
Meets and exceeds production and quality goals and standards
Works well under pressure and deadlines
Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of various programs
Defined based upon the work environment
RequirementsEach one of the direct labor work groups described above shall have at least one lead that is accountable for the overall performance of the workgroup. For Processing and Sorting, back-up leads shall also be in place. Staff filling these positions should have strong staff leadership skills as well as good technical/automation skills to work with UPS operating systems. Leads should be able to monitor work progress and be able to direct line staff in their activities so that the daily work plan/finish time is met while overall quality is maintained.
