Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Tech Lead – Digital Marketing to be part of a fast-paced, innovative, and highly visible team delivering web and mobile applications for our Medical Devices business. The position will be located in the US in Raritan, NJ, or Somerville, NJ.

The Tech Lead – Digital Marketing is responsible for delivery of digital marketing solutions and leading all technical aspects of digital delivery of various web and mobile applications for our Medical Devices business, as part of the Digital Marketing team. This role will interact with other IT stakeholders and digital brand teams in leveraging capabilities to build Digital Marketing solutions, and feeding user and technical requirements to enhance existing Digital Marketing services and building new services.

 

You’ll manage the solution and delivery of innovative, reusable and global Digital Marketing solutions, encourage critical thought, collaboration, and follow the fundamental principles of good software development. Our digital platform is built on Drupal, and expertise in a range of web development technologies is preferred.

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with architects, service owners, development teams, and other internal and external stakeholders to interpret and analyze requirements, and execute technical solutions that deliver flawless, fast, and easy to use digital experiences for all users and consumers.

 

Major Responsibilities and Approx. % of Time Required

  • 30% - Gathering and analyzing user and technical requirements and recommending solution options
  • 30% - Communications with architects, development teams and service owners
  • 30% - Delivery of Digital Marketing solutions
  • 10% - Process Management, Knowledge sharing and ongoing personal development

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is required
  • A minimum of 8 years of broad IT experience in web and internet technologies is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design and leading the delivery of Digital Marketing applications is required
  • Experience working in an Agile team is required
  • Experience with open source version control systems (e.g. SVN, git) is required
  • Experience with PHP, Drupal, JavaScript, MySQL, HMTL5 and CSS3 is required
  • Strong point of view on end-user functionality an eye for highly usable user interface design is required
  • Experience writing technical design docs and driving them through development is required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and knack for tailoring communications to non-technical audiences are required
  • Ability to function as part of a team is required
  • Big picture orientation with strong attention to detail is required
  • Collaboration skills and the ability to build strong win/win relationships with partners are required
  • A results and performance driven attitude with strong sense of accountability and drive to get results is required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred
  • Experience in a large global organization is preferred
  • Experience with Acquia is preferred
  • Experience working with Test Driven Development and/or Behavior Driven Development is preferred
  • Proficiency in unit and functional testing is preferred
  • Experience with Dev-ops (Jenkins/puppet/chef/ansible etc.) is preferred
