What You'll Do
Scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality.
Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.

As a Tech Lead, you will be an agile architect in the design, development, and support of the most visible Internet-scale features and infrastructures at Cisco. The ideal candidate will have a passion for development and a strong background in building dynamic, highly-available, highly-scalable applications using Java based technologies, as well as operating within a startup-mode environment.
Who You'll Work With
Insieme BU Nexus 9k standalone team seeks an experienced software engineer to implement software interfaces for Third party SDN controllers. In this position the engineer will be working on Software Defined Networking and programmability of network elements while using cutting edge technologies giving ample scope for learning.
Who You Are
  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or 10+ years of related practical experience.
  • 4+ years experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
  • 4+ years experience programming experience in Java, Javascript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, and/or Ruby.

Preferred Qualifications
BS + 8 years of relevant work experience, MS + 7 years of relevant work experience, or PhD + 4 years of relevant work experience
Experience in designing and building infrastructure and web services at large scale.
Strong object oriented skills.
Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
Experience with object oriented design, coding, testing patterns, and programming languages (Java, C++, C#, etc.).
Proven coding skills with a scripting language like Python, and knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming.
Experience building web applications and services with IDEs, ant, junit, etc.
Experience with relational databases (transactional and non-transactional), database architecture, and distributed transaction management.
