The Education team is recruiting a Technical Solutions Professional (TSP) to help support the growth and usage of Microsoft Classroom Collaboration Tools on Windows 10 devices in the classroom. As a Microsoft Education Technical Sales Professional, you will be part of a team of specialized technical resources that support Microsoft sales teams in driving adoption of Microsoft’s modern education solution. You will be a deep technical expert on Microsoft modern classroom collaboration technologies, specifically Intune for Education, Windows 10 and Office 365. As an Education Technical Sales Professional, you will be a key contributor to helping reinvent productivity and driving personal computing in our K12 customers. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in customer facing roles, be a deep subject matter expert in hardware, management and operating systems and will have had success in delivering mobile solutions to Education customers. You and the team will support Solution specialists to drive adoption of Microsoft modern classroom collaboration technologies, specifically Intune for Education, Windows 10, Minecraft and Office 365 within our K12 customers, support solutions sales to Education customers, and help position Microsoft as a trusted partner for Education industry solutions.
As a Technical Solutions Professional, you will:
•Drive the technical decision at the customer to buy, architect, develop or adopt their solution based on Microsoft technology
•Provide deep subject matter expertise on the entire Microsoft Education solution.
•Explain, demonstrate, and prove in-depth what Microsoft Education solutions can do and how to enable and manage them for a diverse set of k12 customers by driving technical presentations, demonstrations, Architecture & Design Sessions, and Proofs of Concept / Pilots.
•Provide pre-sales technical support to enable customers and partners to architecture, develop, deploy and use Surface devices
•Drive architecture and technical discussion to lead security, privacy, and compliance discussions
•Stay sharp and share your knowledge: Maintaining and expanding personal, technical, competitive, sales and deployment lifecycle readiness in a service oriented world
•Develop partner engagements for driving the sale, deployment, and adoption of Microsoft solutions
•Provide feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering on current and future product requirements, including customer impact and communicate competitive intelligence from the field
•Communicate and escalate technical, architectural and competitive blockers and insight to their appropriate channel
•Participate in internal Microsoft technical communities and in the broader industry through events, blogs, whitepapers, and articles
•Develop strong understanding of competitor solutions for objection handling.
•Demo and architect the Microsoft Education modern solution
•Design cross workload architecture and orchestrate cross domain resources for our customers.
•Design/develop compelling solutions for Microsoft Infrastructure platform leveraging our technology assets, and to remove technical blockers (business requirements, cloud requirements) that impede sales and are barriers for customer adoption.
•Your practical experience will increase deal velocity by assessing the progress of technical engagements at every stage, and by directing technical, architectural, and competitive issues to the appropriate channels.
•Escalate blockers and collaborate creatively with other field leaders, services & partners, as well as corporate business and marketing groups to ensure the technical needs and preferences of customers are heard.
•Drive and scale Windows 10, Office 365 and Intune for Education usage in the classroom through pilots as well as large scale deployments.
•Leverage the robust set of Microsoft technologies to grow the share and usage of Microsoft Cloud Technologies in the classroom on low cost Windows 10 devices.
•Deep understanding of the deployment and management of K12 devices in the classroom and teacher needs
•One of the most critical priorities for Microsoft is to support customers in their transition into the Modern Education solution which comprises Windows 10 Office 365, managed by Intune for EDU and Azure AD and updated regularly through the “as-a-service” model.
•5+ years of related experience in technical pre-sales and/or technical consulting roles preferred.
•Performer. Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations required.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
•Certification in Windows and Office 365 client technologies (MCSA or MCSE) preferred.
