Technical Account Manager

Robert Half is looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) with a strong focus on customer satisfaction to help guide project delivery for our most important clients from discovery to delivery.

This position is a hybrid of a business analyst and a client relationship manager. In this role you will play a crucial role in a project throughout the lifecycle, helping to identify client business goals during pre-sales discovery, translate those into a specific implementation and then ensure the delivered product meets the original goals.

While you will need to possess broad high-level e-commerce and digital marketing domain knowledge yourself, you will work closely with subject matter experts in marketing, creative and engineering on implementation details.

As Technical Account Manager you will serve as the main point of contact for client questions that arise throughout the production process. You will need to proactively and consistently communicate with clients to anticipate needs and manage expectations. A key part of your responsibility will be to listen and look for risks, scope concerns or requirement mismatches as early as possible while ensuring the end product matches client organization's needs.

The focus of your work will be on guiding large projects, but to do this well you will need to own and cultivate long-standing relationships with our clients, learning both their business landscape and technical environments. This will continue post-delivery as you continually identify areas of improvement or increased engagement

Qualifications Ability to intelligently speak to both technical implementation and business strategy Ability to understand and empathize with client needs, identifying concrete areas for improvement out of general frustrations Ability to analyze and decompose large goals into specific steps Ability to clearly write and organize technical requirements, particularly during the early stage of project discovery when much is in flux Broad domain knowledge in e-commerce and digital marketing, including an interest in and ability to keep up with new technologies and approaches Experience translating business requirements into a technical scope of work Experience performing and guiding acceptance testing, both hands-on and in consultation with QA specialists Experience working directly with both creative and software engineering teams Excellent communications, presentation, listening and negotiation skills High level of integrity, judgment, and situational awareness Ability to respond by telephone or email from 8am to 8pm EST Monday through Friday, excluding company holidays Ability to travel 3-6 times a year for on-site visits with major clients (these will generally be regional trips but may occasionally require overnight travel)
