You will be part of a physics, verification and system engineering team representing premium and performance platform CT new product introductions. Presently this includes the iCT, Ingenuity and Big Bore CT product families. Philips CT brings customers the benefits of high-resolution, low-dose scanning with increased integration and collaboration, patient care, and economic value in an upgradable family that's designed to grow as you grow. Responsibilities may include any of the following • Software development and prototyping of reconstruction and calibration algorithms for a multi-slice CT scanner. • Operation of CT scanner for acquiring experimental data for calibration, image quality analysis and trouble shooting. • Design tests and perform system verification on CT scanners • System engineering activities including requirements, design, risk and change management Profile • Experience with engineering design controls through class projects or other work experience • Able to demonstrate technical writing capabilities and some technical documentation experience, Microsoft Word, Equation Editor, PowerPoint. • Good communication skills and initiative to interact with many people during the course of problem solving. • Understanding of Signal Processing, Trigonometry, Physics and Mathematics. • Experience in developing software in MATLAB. Familiarity with vectorized mathematical expressions, cells, structures and Graphical User Interface development (using GUIDE and ui-control commands). • Relevance to medical imaging field Although normal work will be during standard business hours, occasional system operation will be required during evening or night shifts. Preferred candidate will be a senior undergraduate, MS or Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and/or related field of study. This position is full time between the months of June through December. Candidate must be able to work a co-op position for at least 6 months and be able to provide own transportation.
