Position Description
Responsible for directing the activities of a software applications development function. You drive your team’s timely execution against a product roadmap.  You own release management for the products you created; your product ships when the customers are realizing its value.  You mentor and motivate direct reports towards their career goals, and manage related HR policies and processes. You evangelize solutions and processes to the team, and all three to the business. You actively develop your team’s skill set and put together a deep bench.  You hold teams to high development standards in writing quality scalable code, complete with appropriate unit tests, automated testing, documentation, and operationalization aspects. You continuously improve your team’s SDLC processes and plan for the next thing in the product pipeline.  You live to manage and prioritize conflicting deadlines: new products vs. production bugs.  You demonstrate your technical expertise and apply your perspective to produce innovative solutions, as well as share your knowledge through technical talks with your peers. You act as a technical lead for engineering projects and proactively volunteer to perform key activities.




Minimum Requirements
4+ years software engineering experience including 2+ years managerial experience

Critical Skills

4+ years software engineering experience including 2+ years managing engineering teams.

Excellent in at least one of the following: C#, Scala, Spark, Kafka, Parquet

Additional Knowledge & Skills
Thorough knowledge of software engineering and demonstrates leadership skills

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
