Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Technical Lead within the Application Services Salesforce Effectiveness team to be located in Somerville, NJ or West Chester, PA.

The Application Services Salesforce Effectiveness team is responsible for build and delivery of a broad portfolio of commercial applications that support all of J&J’s business segments globally. Within this portfolio, the focus of the Technical Lead will be a global application supporting the Service and Repair process for J&J’s capital equipment product suite. This application is built on the Salesforce.com platform and being integrated with numerous ERP, Quality and Third Party systems globally.

 

Service and Repair is a highly regulated process that has fiscal, legal and commercial variations across regions. The application environment supporting this process must comply with GxP and CSV (Computer Systems Validation) regulations.

 

The Technical Lead will work closely with development teams and ensure the platform is built to scale with quality, and ensure that J&J architectural standards and best practices are adhered to, including but not limited to leverage of out-of-box capabilities, minimization of custom code, conformance to code quality guidelines, and robust build, change management and release processes.

 

The Technical Lead will participate in activities and ceremonies that are part of J&J’s Agile/Scrum development process, keep abreast of all implementation and delivery-related activities, help remove impediments, and provide assistance to the Scrum team as required.

 

Finally, the Technical Lead will support the quality and SDLC processes as required, contributing technical knowledge and inputs into project deliverables.

 
 

Approximate Percentage of Time – Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

  • 60% - Act as technical expert in Salesforce.com. This would include conducting code reviews, ensuring development standards are being followed, monitoring continuous integration and software quality tools and the output from same. The Technical Lead will also develop code as necessary, plus direct junior and contract developers.
  • 15% - Participate in project meetings, communicating with stakeholders on solution health related metrics.
  • 15% - Align with compliance, risk assurance, quality and other stakeholders that the proper quality is in place and design documentation is to the correct level and being followed by the development team.
  • 5% - Assist in the setup, configuration and assessment for fit of new tools that affect the project quality such as automated testing tools.
  • 5% - Stay up-to-date with SFDC platform enhancements and changes. Keep abreast of, and recommend changes to the SFE Playbook standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent
  • 5+ years of delivering complex projects. Domain knowledge of commercial/ supply chain processes. Technical service and/or Call Center a plus
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com technologies and platforms – Certifications a plus
  • Understanding of SFDC ServiceCloud technology – Certification a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of Java experience is preferred
  • Experience working with Agile delivery processes and tools (Jira/Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience working with current development/repository/continuous integration tools (Git/Bitbucket/Jenkins etc.)
  • Experience working with complex middleware and integration architectures and APIs.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills, facilitating escalated issues to resolution
  • Experience in leading projects ideally with integrations and also in the GxP space is a plus
  • Must be able to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to senior management effectively
  • Must have good planning, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating strategically with others with little supervision
  • Proven ability to lead and influence others at all levels within the organization
  • Results driven, quick learner and a self-starter required
