LinkedIn is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) Intern to provide business coordination support, for one of the largest sites on the web. This role will be reporting into the lead Technical Program Manager and is based in Sunnyvale. This role will provide valuable exposure to many parts of the business, such as engineering, product management, software testing & design, and business operations. LinkedIn TPMs are looked at to organize various internal and external components and dependencies, in order to successfully drive projects to a conclusion. Responsibilities • Manage cross-functional projects in a matrix organization • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery • Work closely with agile teams to manage expectations and help remove project roadblocks • Lead functional and technical delivery of key team-, org-, and company-wide initiatives • Ensure there is sound communication between various groups and projects • Provide day-to-day coordination for projects and tasks • Assist with internal process improvements • Interface with engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope Basic Qualifications •Currently pursuing a Major or Minor (BA or BS) in Computer Science, or a related technical field and returning to the program after the completion of the internship. • Expected to complete degree by December, 2018 or earlier Preferred Qualifications • Strong communication, leadership and coordination skills • Experience leading project teams and/or working groups • Ability to influence and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity • Ability to closely walk the line between business needs and technology
