We at Monsanto are passionate about revolutionizing agricultural productivity through cutting edge science and technology to produce more, conserve more and improve lives.  The Global Breeding Technology Solutions Team in Monsanto's Global Breeding organization is seeking an innovative scientist to help coordinate our technical projects.
The main responsibilities/deliverables for this role include the following: 
  • Coordinate ongoing projects across the Global Breeding Technology Solutions Team.
  • Collaborate and drive conversations with cross-functional stakeholders to validate assumptions, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes Strategy, data gathering, analysis, ongoing modeling and presentations.
  • Work with portfolio finance team to value projects.
  • Utilize data to assess future risk and opportunities to maximize value.
  • Conduct data analysis to make business recommendations and present these to leadership (forecasting, impact analysis, scenario modeling).
  • Work in a matrix environment, leading & influencing people at varying levels of responsibility
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or higher).
  • Three or more years of experience leading projects or key business initiatives from inception to delivery .
  • Three or more years of experience making business decisions and recommendations by leveraging data via Microsoft Excel, R or Pipeline Pilot
  • Experience in translating analytical results into business recommendations and business questions into an analysis framework.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Highly organized, with great agility to manage projects across multiple technologies and disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Desired Skills:
  • MBA or Master's degree (or higher).
  • Demonstrated analytical/computational skills to turn data into information and model future scenarios.
  • Strong business aptitude, the ability to rapidly learn new problem domains, and become conversant in the domain with subject matter experts.
  • Deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis and trends.
  • Experience in managing key research projects with a proven track record of success.
