Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Technical Sales Driver position in Superior, WI. This is a Full-Time, direct-hire opportunity. As a Technical Sales Driver you will be responsible for making sales, obtaining orders, and securing contracts for the organization's products, equipment, and services. Responsibilities for this Technical Sales Driver position include:

  • Complete sales transactions with new and existing customers to grow territory and increase sales and profit

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with potential, new, and existing customers

  • Call on potential new customers through scheduled and cold calls

  • Set and monitor customer routes for customer satisfaction and retention of customer base

  • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets

  • Learn about customers' business and challenges to better understand which products and services will best meet the customer's needs

  • Set customer pricing and monitor it for competitiveness, customer satisfaction, and increased sales and profit

  • Safely deliver product and equipment

  • Install and service equipment. Monitor for safety, customer satisfaction, retention of customer base to obtain increased sales and profit

  • Provide hands-on technical support to solve customer problems and achieve customer satisfaction leading to retention of customer base and subsequent sales

  • Complete inventory control procedures so that there is an accurate, real-time inventory record in the system

  • Load and secure truck according to DOT standards

  • Operate/drive truck according to DOT standards

  • Maintain vehicle and sales equipment to ensure timely and safe delivery of customer product achieving customer satisfaction and retention of customer base

  • Review and or revise business processes this position interacts with to increase efficiency and effectiveness

  • Follow all company safety procedures as well as all OSHA

  • Qualifications:

  • Must meet and follow DOT standards for truck drivers, have good driving record with no recent drug or alcohol violations, and be able to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with hazardous materials, airbrakes and tanker endorsements

  • Must pass company pre-employment drug screen

  • Must have the ability to work with computers and software systems, preferably JDE

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Self-motivated and hard-working individual with ability to work independently with little direction

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Ability to perform math calculations to determine flow rates etc.

  • Team player, excellent organizational skills, and great time management skills

  • Available to regularly work a schedule that consists of 10-12 hour days and requires some overnight travel

  • Ability to lift over 50 pound bags regularly, 75 lbs. occasionally and move up to 700 pound drums

  • Ability to regularly climb in and out of truck cab and onto and off of the truck gate

  • Walking between truck and customer sites, sometimes on uneven ground/miscellaneous surfaces

  • Transferring liquid from truck to customer tanks utilizing hose and pump; requires pulling hoses (empty and full) and walking out the hoses to drain liquid

  • Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle that transports chemicals and hazardous materials

  • This position is Full-Time, with a working schedule of 10-12 hour days and requires some overnight travel.
