Client Technical Specialists are technical consultants to clients, IBM sales teams and/or IBM Business Partners. Our Technical Sales Specialists deliver industry centric business solutions to clients of all sizes and markets.The mainframe Client Technical Specialist works with Server Sellers and IBM Business Partners to determine customer requirements, create configurations and proposals, respond to RFP and RFQ's, assist with Proof of Concept projects and follow through on sales post installation. Solid presentation skills and a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and how to position winning solutions to customers is a must. You'll also be responsible for navigating IBM to identify and acquire critical resources needed to develop the best solution for the client, while applying IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods and models, to ensure world-class design and delivery..
'- At least 5 years experience working with mainframe hardware and its associated operating systems (z/OS, z/VM and Linux)
- Working knowledge of mainframe hardware administration, including capacity sizing and performance tuning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
