This is a commissioned sales position. As a Technical Sales Specialist, candidate will be responsible for driving sales, architecture conversions, and deployment of Intel-based Software Defined Industrial System Solutions ("SDIS") targeting IOT segments such as Industrial Automation, Energy and Smart Buildings. A successful candidate will be responsible for helping customers and partners adopt Intel-based SDIS technologies by accurately representing the different layers in a IOT SDIS Architecture that leads to a deployable offering, efficient go to market plan and accountable revenue pipeline. This position is a technical sales lead aligned to the IOTG Business Unit Sales head. Responsible for training SMG direct field and influencer field partners on SDIS technologies and solutions that run best on Intel products. Responsible for advising and influencing end user customers, ISVs, OEMs, partners and scale engines. Responsible for understanding the business use case and technical merits of a solution and co-owning relationships with customer/partner decision-makers to influence the customers purchasing decision. Works with all audiences to accelerate adoption of Intel-based SDIS platforms and documents gaps/provides feedback to solution stakeholders including: solution architects, vertical/horizontal business leaders and partners, OEMs, system integrators, solution integrators, solution providers, and ISVs & service providers. Daily activities will include providing direct technical assistance to SMG field partners, customers and partners, interfacing with Sr. technical decision makers for Line of Business and Operational Technology Groups and representing customer market segment requirements back into the business unit for future product planning.
Industrial/Manufacturing domain expertise with a solid understanding of Industry 4.0 and or China Manufacturing 2025 drivers
Domain expertise in Software Defined Infrastructure technologies such as virtualization, Cloud, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Augmented Reality
Experience working with partners and ecosystem developers to drive technical advances in core IOT technology integration and deployment
8-10 years of technical sales experience in systems electronics and or semiconductors
Proven experience influencing accounts for growth and action at the executive C level.
Proven experience collaborating across global field team organizations in both direct sales and influencer sales roles.
BSEE in Electrical Engineering, MSEE or MBA preferred.
