Technical Service Representative $40K - $60K Base As a Technical Services Rep, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical understanding and support of our multiple product offerings to our customers across theUSandCanada. You'll assist with the installation, troubleshooting and warranty questions for a large list of HVAC products. You will be part of a 4 person team reporting to the Technical Service Manager and can expect 12 - 15 overnight trips per year. To be successful in this role, they must have a prior HVAC background of at least two years - preferably in a commercial setting, have excellent communication skills as this position requires both verbal and written communication, and be willing to work with other team members to assist our representatives and distributors with providing superior customer service. Responsibilities: Provide support and research by promptly answering daily phone calls and emails from our customers, contractors, home owners in a variety of issues ranging in technical complexity for multiple product lines. Assist customers with troubleshooting of equipment and warranty issues. If not possible to do over the phone or email, this may include traveling to the jobsite as necessary. Assist with technical trainings of our OEM accounts technical support staff. Assist Customer Service with parts identification. Work with Product Management and Sales to increase overall sales by providing customer feedback and suggestions. Works with Engineering, Product Management, the Lab, and Manufacturing Plants to help resolve product deficiencies as noted from field complaints. Assist with maintaining network files of all relative product/component information required by the technical support team. Assist with negotiating claims on warranty issues. Requirements: High School degree or equivalent degree from correspondingTechnicalSchool 2+ years of Mechanical HVAC experience, preferably in a commercial setting. Must have knowledge of Gas Duct Furnaces, Hydronic Heating Systems, HVAC controls, and Chillers Must be ability to read basic wiring schematics Ability to use computer software including AutoCAD Must be a strong team player and collaborative worker with excellent customer relationship management, rapport building, written, and communication skills. Works normal working hours but is responsible for troubleshooting jobsites which will include some overnight travel.
