Adecco is currently assisting a leading Kansas City area plastics manufacturer in their search to fill a Technical Support Analyst role in their North American plant. This available position is with an established and growing injection-molded plastics supplier. This is a direct hire role. This role would report to the Director of IT. The Technical Support Analyst carries on the tasks necessary to ensure the technical integrity and operational performance of the IT technical infastructure in the US and other various locations of the company. 40-50% travel would be required for this position. To carry on the recurring tasks required to ensure the efficient operation of US company locations IT technical environment. The incumbent must form close working relationships with the various departments in order to determine ongoing needs.
To install, setup and configure computers and peripherals.
To utilize, support, and optimize the current IT infrastructure to its full potential .
To be the main contact at US company locations with respect to all activity concerning IT infrastructure.
To ensure that adequate passwords, firewalls, encryption, and virus scanning policies are respected.
To ensure that relevant documentation is created and kept current on all IT technical infrastructure activities in the Company.
The incumbent must be able to carry on for disaster recovery procedures and plans concerning the IT technical infrastructure, this includes, but is not limited to, appropriate backups of infrastructure systems.
Provides technical support on infrastructure issues to all staff and activities at US locations of company.
Works with the Network Analyst to provide applications administration activities when necessary.
Provides advice and technical support to all departments.
Must be a university or college graduate. Must have at two years' hands on experience in an IT technical role involving network environment knowledge. Must be technically proficient in the following equipments/systems/applications: networks (LAN, WAN, VPN), PC workstations and operating systems, computer and peripherals.
