A Technical Support Engineer in Norwalk, CT is available through Modis. You will provide pre and post technical support to customer. The technical phone support and also includes: chats emails, creating quotes and entering orders into the proprietary systems. You must have experience of sensors and instrumentation. You have exceptional customer service skills. This is a direct hire opportunity.
The role requires a customer service focused individual. Technical phone support requires the knowledge to select from a wide range of sensors and instrumentation to meet the customer's application or requirement needs, create quotes, enter orders and provide post sales technical support.
Continue to learn and train on product lines and continuously update knowledge of new products.
Identify customers' needs and provide the 'best' or 'total' solution from a wide range of products and services.
Create customer quotations and enter sales order.
Maintain up-to-date literature by submitting changes and making management aware of updates or corrections to product technical data.
Identify areas of growth for individual products, product areas, and markets, and provide feedback to marketing, design, and sourcing groups.
One - three years' experience: Instrumentation, engineering and process control.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering is preferred or related field
Must thrive in a high performance environment
Must have the ability to multi-task
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have knowledge of Microsoft: Office, Outlook, Excel and Word
Must be persistent and have excellent follow-up skills
