Adecco is currently looking for a Technical Writer and Training Coordinator for a leading manufacturing company in Portsmouth, NH. The "OECI Technical Writer / Training Coordinator" will work as a member of the Operational Excellence Continuous Improvement team to create the procedures, work instructions and training materials for new and or revised business processes, as well as coordinate the training activities associated with said procedures and work instructions.
This individual will assume a lead technical role in the creation and maintenance of said documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-This position is responsible for translating business process diagrams into effective and efficient work instructions.
-This position is responsible for coordinating all training activities associated with process deployment and changes.
-This person will be capable of composing detail technical work instructions utilizing a DITA model.
-Participate in Change Control Board to ensure changes have no impact to overall system and stability
-Develop and implement process documentation standards and best practices
-3+ years technical writing, work instruction experience
-Strong communication skills including written and oral communication as well as presentation skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals
-Working knowledge and experience using MadCap Flare
-Must be willing and able to deal with a high level of ambiguity
-Strong process focus, able to see opportunities for improvement in the business
-Broad functional knowledge of DITA model
-Experience in translating Functional specifications into technical work instructions
-Knowledge of business process development best practices, including:
o Current state process mapping
o Ideal state verse "To Be" state
o Process development and Alpha testing
o User Acceptance Testing (UAT, Beta)
o Implementation and Change Management
o Process Training
o Process Documentation
-Strong business process development and project management skills, including:
o Work break down structures
o Document all risks, issues and mitigation strategies that could affect the solution rollout
o Estimated resource requirements
