Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division has an opening for a Technician. This position will be based out of our Warrendale, PA office.

Position Overview :

This position will be responsible for performing quality assembly and testing of the complete scope of products serviced by the center of excellence.

 
Essential Responsibilities :
  • Assemble electrical products of all levels including motor controls, circuit breakers, etc. This includes all sub-assemblies to the component level and large scale units.
  • Support aftermarket products and perform time entry transactions through Eaton proprietary software systems.
  • Visually check components and assemblies for electrical and mechanical defects.
  • Read and understand blueprint and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Complete sub-assembly and wiring of any product as assigned.
  • Maintain quality records, calibration records, charts, and area performance to forecast as directed.
  • Develop vendor relationships to assist with material specifications, quality control, purchasing, and delivery.
  • Receive direction and assignments from the assigned leader, and report any problems to the leader.
  • Can work on orders with some supervision/feedback

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required  
  • No relocation provided, candidate must live within a 50 mile radius of location
  • Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Graduate of a two (2) year, full-time, accredited electrical/mechanical technology school or its equivalent in the military
  • Proficient with all applicable test equipment such as ( primary injection tester, power supply tester, insulation resistance tester ).
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical ability, good organizational skills, and good work habits with a proactive work ethic in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with control circuitry.
  • Familiarity with process and procedures of Statistical Quality Control Methods.
  • Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and additional technical materials.
  • Hand tool experience.
