Distribution Technician 3s are expected to perform all of the major accountabilities of a Distribution Technician 2 in their functional area, plus the following additional responsibilities.
Inbound: Cross-trained and able to perform the functions of a Distribution Technician 1 in all 3 functional areas and able to perform the functions of a Distribution Technician 2 in 2 of the 3 functional areas. Allocate tasks within the work queue of the WMS, maximizing labor resources and smoothing work flow. Review and audit weekly Kronos time records. Make corrections as needed. Actively pursues continuous improvement, action reviews, trending analysis by providing effective problem identification and resolutions. Ensure standard operating procedures are being followed. Support timely completion of investigations and corrective actions for any non-conformance in the area. Ability to assist with the Team Leader position when required due to vacations or vacancies. Outbound: Cross-trained and able to perform the functions of a Distribution Technician 1 in all 3 functional areas and able to perform the functions of a Distribution Technician 2 in 2 of the 3 functional areas. Allocate orders in the WMS, maximizing labor resources and smoothing work flow. Assist with compliance of all SOPs, HSE requirements and Quality procedures. Recommend and participate in process improvement projects within the department. Participate in and conduct special projects within and across Distribution departments. Special Operations: Cross-trained and able to perform the functions of a Distribution Technician 1 in all 3 functional areas and able to perform the functions of a Distribution Technician 2 in 2 of the 3 functional areas. Provides direction and support to the Special Operations team and ensure they are qualified, achieve a high level of competence, are motivated and carry out their duties in a safe manner. Provides input to area management for Mid-year and Annual performance reviews. Maintains inventory of raw material, literature, Fit Set racks and supplies to achieve metrics targets and business needs. Notifies area management and Equipment Services of equipment or systems failures. Communicate effectively with marketing, customer service and quality organizations to attain customer needs and accomplish assigned targets/goals. Make corrections as needed.
