About Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS)
The Infrastructure Technology Services organization is responsible for multiple areas within the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure division. ITS is responsible for 24/7 monitoring of all technology and is the first responder to technology incidents. ITS is also responsible for development, engineering and governance of multiple “vertical” infrastructure services. These services include: Data Transmission, Load Balancing, Internet Appliance, Monitoring (Infrastructure, Network and application), Logging, and Batch Scheduling, enterprise wide for Wells Fargo. Additionally, the organization is responsible for day to day management and support for these services. This population includes agent technologies on over 50,000 assets across the enterprise enabling a majority of the 4,000 applications that run Wells Fargo’s businesses. ITS is also responsible for bundled IT solutions which include compute solutions and provisioning processes across multiple organizations that enable technology solutions in a timely and cost effective manner.
This Senior manager will lead will a large enterprise technology infrastructure team (approximately 200 FTE’s plus 20-30 contractors ) with global enterprise scope. This person’s accountabilities and responsibilities are to ensure industry leading service management practices are implemented and maintained for complex infrastructure solutions where multiple infrastructure services are involved to complete a true infrastructure solution. This includes Hosting Services that would require: Compute, storage, access, layered products, connectivity, middleware, Load balancing, Firewall rules, DNS, and other components that create a usable solution. This position will also oversee infrastructure provisioning/fulfillment of other hosting types like Internet Appliances, physical servers, and other complex solutions. This team will own the capability and governance for all solutions defined with the scope as mentioned above. This leader will be responsible for creating an understanding of the total cost of maintaining these solutions through the entire life cycle of each. Optimizing the firms cost and performance without sacrificing stability will become a continuous process to respond to the changing needs and requirements of the bank. As the solutions Leader this person and respective team is responsible and accountable for the end-to-end Lifecycle and Governance for multiple enterprise solutions. This also includes the ITSM tools and processes that will be utilized by the services organization, as well as the solutions organization. This leader must work cross organizationally at senior levels to establish, maintain and govern all aspects of the solutions. This responsibility includes enabling operational capabilities to ensure standards, policies and regulatory soundness are being maintained Enterprise Wide. This position will ensure operational excellence and safe and sound practices to protect Wells Fargo’s technology environment and ultimately the businesses reputational brand. It includes all aspects of IT governance along with Managing an annual budget of $50-100 Million, large project portfolios (10 to 20 major projects), large technology portfolio (15 – 20 vendors), and relationships with executives across the enterprise.
The solutions area will form the cornerstone of the firms complex service offerings where multiple technologies need to be coordinated into a standard solution that adds value and done so at an optimal pace and cost point. Some of these solutions will include:
- Distributed Hosting Services
- Infrastructure as a service
- Service development and life cycle support for the automated provisioning processes
- ITSM processes for both service management and solutions provisioning
- System development of service management and provisioning tools, along with the full life cycle and governance of those processes and tools
- 12+ years of technology infrastructure experience
- 7+ years of management experience in technology
- Experience managing multiple or large technology infrastructure components
- Process engineering experience
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment
- Vendor management experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as; policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security
- Experience analyzing metrics and articulating data trends
- Ability to manage a budget in excess of $30 million
- Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
Other Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ITIL v3, CMM for IT services or ITSM service models
- Experience with automated processes in order to provision hosting solutions/services
- Strong financial acumen
