Technology Risk Consultant, Assistant Vice President

It is an exciting time to join State Street Corporation (SSC) in the Enterprise Technology Risk Management (ETRM) organization. ETRM is responsible for leadership oversight monitoring and advisement around the discovery management and remediation of IT risks across the State Street enterprise.
Position Description
The Second Line of Defense ETRM Team is seeking a candidate to support the IT Asset and Configuration management initiative. The candidate will work closely with the ETRM team across multiple Risk Control and Technology functions and report to the ETRM Senior Business Technology Risk Officer. As a seasoned technology and risk leader you will have the opportunity to enhance the program and establish jointly with your IT and ETRM peers the right set of strategy framework processes and business "C" level engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
    \t
  • \t\tDrive effective implementation and communication of all Technology risk management policies and guidelines
  • \t
  • \t\tSolid understanding of asset and configuration management principles
  • \t
  • \t\tLead the discussion and vision around developing a holistic IT Asset and Configuration program
  • \t
  • \t\tWork closely with IT and provide support to define the strategy policy scope objectives processes and procedures for Asset and Configuration Management.
  • \t
  • \t\tMonitor and provide independent opinion of the program and progress to board technology committee each quarter
  • \t
  • \t\tAnalyze and report on usage and adoption of the asset management repository metrics
  • \t
  • \t\tDevelop effective technology risk reporting and other communication channels to ensure timely escalation of significant risk issues.

  • \t\tAssist the business IT and FLOD in prioritization of risks risk initiatives and risk mitigation
  • \t
  • \t\tReview the effectiveness and efficiency of the program
  • \t
  • \t\tProvide recommendations for improvements based on personal observation and knowledge/experience with IT industry best practices.

  • \t\tEnsure compliance of IT asset and configuration management policies and standards
  • \t
  • \t\tWork collaboratively with the First Line of Defense as well as with Audit and other ERM functions.
Required Qualifications
    \t
  • \t\tMinimum 8+ years of experience in the financial consulting or technology industries
  • \t
  • \t\tMinimum 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure asset and configuration management
  • \t
  • \t\tExperience in developing and or managing CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
  • \t
  • \t\tExperience in installing and configuring technology platforms in development or QA environments
  • \t
  • \t\tSolid understanding and knowledge of IT infrastructure systems applications processes and emerging technologies such as cloud converged infrastructure etc.
  • \t
  • \t\tMBA preferred advanced degree or undergraduate in finance accounting or technology acceptable
  • \t
  • \t\tStrong critical thinking problem solving and decision making skills
  • \t
  • \t\tStrong presentation and communication skills
