The Global Health Technology External Affairs Lead is responsible for coordinating global efforts to build external relationships that support Amgen's integrated technology strategy.
RESPOSIBILITIES:
Scans landscape for potential partners in technology, non-profit, government, academia and healthcare
Initiates, develops, maintains relationships with global partners in technology, non-profit, government, academia and healthcare
Liaison between regional External Affairs, Government Policy and Regulatory Leads; identifies opportunities for cross-collaboration across regions
Identifies global opportunities and shares with regional partners for consideration
Manages executive advisory board
Thought-leadership and external reputation building; regional approaches developed with regional leads
Partners with Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs to develop organizational capability to ensure policies are in place to support healthcare technology innovation
Co-ordinates with functions (Clinical Development, Cfor & GHE, product teams, advocacy, Customer Experience) to identify needs and connect appropriate partners; identifies opportunities to maximize technology-based solutions through development of broader collaborations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate degree and 6 years of external affairs experience OR
Master's degree and 10 years of external affairs experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 12 years of external affairs experience AND
6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
6 or more years of international managerial experience
Biopharma industry experience desired
Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with external entities
Ability to leverage identified partnerships to amplify other projects and think strategically across regional boundaries
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to navigate matrixed organizations
Ability to manage projects with individuals from multiple functional and regional backgrounds
Ability to develop external communication strategies
Ability to think creatively and innovatively about complex problems
