Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting top-notch sales candidates for a Territory Account Manager Job in Pittsburgh, PA for our client, a leader in the mechanical, electrical and motion control product distribution to manufacturing, for a new position based out of their Pittsburgh location. This is a new position that will be responsible for developing, obtaining and maintaining new and existing sales relationships with customers by promoting and selling the company's products and services in the Pittsburgh assigned territory (60 mile radius of Pittsburgh). The Territory Account Manager will provide cost savings solutions and technical support for customer applications in an expedient and professional manner. Our client offers an excellent training program at their Pittsburgh branch office for as long as needed for you to succeed on your own and eventually obtain high commissions and bonuses. While in training, a base salary of $50,000 to $65,000 is offered. Once you are on your own, your base will be lowered and you will start earning commission and bonuses that can lead to compensation of around $100,000. A company vehicle, laptop, and telephone are also provided after training.
Responsibilities for the Territory Account Manager in Pittsburgh, PA:
Schedule appointments to visit new and existing customers in order to introduce products/services and explain product features/benefits to the customers.
Perform on-site calls to assigned accounts to develop and/or maintain relationships with customer contacts, identify and close on sales opportunities, and maintain existing business.
Demonstrate products, quote prices, and close on sales opportunities while maintaining adequate documentation and record keeping.
Provide technical assistance to customers as needed to identify and recommend ways to alter product usage in order to improve production and/or reduce costs.
Effectively reaches understanding and agreement with customers and management in a clear and concise manner. Uses facts and argument to create a common ground of understanding when dealing with many facets of the public both internally and externally.
Utilizes analytical techniques to determine solutions to complex problems in varying situations in order to evaluate problems and implement solutions. Possesses ability to apply basic mathematical calculations in order to properly interchange products.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude relating to products/services and solutions
5 to 6 year previous experience in outside, business to business Sales
Excellent communication skills.
Basic computer skills for data base and word processing
Basic mathematical skills.
Familiarity with industrial distribution industry
