Within Global Technology and Operations (GTO), the centralized TechQA organization, tasked with all software testing, is looking for you to provide coordination of intake and demand across the entire TechQA organization.  You will work in the Planning and Effectiveness organization and you will partner with employees and vendors throughout TechQA and in other external financial groups. As the Planning and Effectiveness group is a team that often shares responsibilities, there are key responsibilities for this role and other general responsibilities.

 

The GTO group is a diverse team of engineers, developers, and business and project managers with the freedom to create innovative solutions to core business challenges within MetLife.  TechQA is the centralized software testing organization.

 

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Understanding the financial systems, the budgeting process, and the functions within TechQA.
  • Aid in the design and administration of a process and system to ensure
    • The TechQA organization is adequately funded on each IT project commitment code
    • There is an understanding of how and when the funding will be utilized in projects
    • The timing of the demand for our services aligns the staffing levels available
  • Aid in the design and produce reports and views to support demand and intake function
  • Aid in the create presentations for senior leadership as needed
  • Prepare process documentation and training for financial leads and AD partners
  • Manage Demand/Intake Management document library for related documents
  • Collaborate with team members, offer strategic, value-add solutions and implement them
  • Aid in the management/tracking of resource utilization
  • Having skills and filling in for other functions in the Planning and Effectiveness group, which include
    • Vendor and contract management
    • Testing Process, methodology, and metrics
    • Financial Oversight
    • Service Performance
    • General Governance functions

Required Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of systems development, testing and/or business experience or related work experience
  • Project Management experience and/or training
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure, testing tools, and variety of testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent understanding of system design processes, methodologies, and testing tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle, infrastructure, products and services and IT portfolio and program management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Working experience with financial processes/systems in an IT environment
  • Intermediate experience in MS Excel to create pivots, lookup formulas, perform data analysis, charts, etc.
  • Working experience with annual planning process, forecasts, accruals and billing of IT resources
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Good to Intermediate experience in building Powerpoint presentations and presenting to various levels of the organization

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field preferred

  • Experience with all lifecycles, including Agile, DevOps, Waterfall

  • MS Project
