Trade Relations Negotiator

Position Summary:
The Trade Relations Negotiator is a non-supervisory director level position designed to assist the Senior Director of Industry Relations in the negotiation strategies with pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers. This is an exciting opportunity to implement pharmaceutical procurement strategies that directly contribute to the bottom line of a Fortune 7 organization. These strategies will include:
1. Negotiating rebates where CVS is the PBM.
2. Identifying formulary considerations and positioning.

Additionally, you will hold direct account responsibilities for manufacturers and play a large role in maintaining and growing vendor partnerships. Trade and industry relation account responsibilities will include:
1. Development of manufacturer strategy
2. Account relationship management
3. Direct accountability for the rebate contracting of the manufacturer

Your position is highly visible to senior stakeholders as you will be responsible for negotiations on high-dollar contracts that contribute to the continued success of CVS Health.

Required Qualifications:
*A minimum of 8 years experience in managed care which may include PBM or specialty pharmacy or health plan practice.

*Proven experience driving complex contract negotiations and successful completion of contracts, PBM and Managed Care expertise, primarily focused on the management of pharmacy budgets related to manufacturers.

*Demonstrated success in managing multiple manufacturer relationships to include direct contact with key decision makers. Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills are critical.

*Must possess strategic vision and critical thinking capacity, creativity and ability to work in multiple locations across several key business units.

*Must be able to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:
*10+ Years of experience negotiating contracts in the Healthcare or PBM industry Master's Degree

Bachelor's degree required.
