TRI STATE OPERATING UNIT consists of the following locations: New Windsor NY, Elmsford NY, Bronx NY, Maspeth NY, Staten Island NY, Smithtown NY, Carlstadt NJ, S Brunswick NJ, Marlton NJ, Moorestown NJ, Marmora NJ, Plymouth Meeting PA, and Philadelphia PA.

Transportation Planner
 
Supports the Logistics Team's efforts against its core organizational deliverables

Assist with design, implementation, improvement and or selection of analytical tools

Manage complex cost models and is responsible for the accuracy of master data

Provide support for the development and stewardship of the annual business plan

Ensure information from suppliers and partners is timely and accurate

Support programs and projects within the logistics teams with data and insight
Create weekly reports and scorecards to ensure timely distribution of data

Bring expert insight to assist on strategic projects and initiatives including multi-year business plans, productivity improvement efforts, and related needs with regard to supply chain economics, productivity, risk, and opportunity assessments

Understand how data relates to the business and effectively communicate the real world meaning of the analysis including potential solutions and risks and concluding with recommendations

 


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Logistics, or Engineering preferred)
Advanced Excel Skills required (i.e. pivot tables, macros, VBA)

Strong understanding of statistical modeling required

Experience with Sequel Server and Tableau or willingness to train required

Lean certification preferred

Optimization, simulation, and or modeling experience a plus

Operational or process improvement experience a plus


Knowledge of data sources and systems - Technical proficiency with core analytical tools, systems & techniques - Aptitude to develop a deep and holistic understanding of ALL of the Company's and stakeholders data sources.

Superior problem solving skills and the application of logic - Demonstrated ability to synthesis information from multiple sources into a well-constructed point of view – Effective communication and organization skills. Excellent analytical skills - Attention to detail -Ensures all steps are taken to perform tasks, proofs and edits work. - Flexibility - Adapts in dealing with changing situations and people. - Professionalism - Handles issues with confidentiality and diplomacy.
