The purpose of this position is to field incoming calls from route drivers, customer service, and others to gather, record, and / or report delivery time information and delivery status on selected accounts.  This position routes orders for next day deliveries, along with assisting with other functions of the Transportation Department. Position is M-F Noon- 8 pm and Sundays 3:00-8 pm.

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Secondary education preferred.


  1. Strong organizational skills and ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
  2. Good communications skills and professional manner dealing with customers and customer service.
  3. Good working knowledge of Central Florida geography.
  4. CDL and working knowledge of DOT regulations preferred.



  1. Administer the routing system by manually routing orders using RoadNet, perform maintenance on the routing system, set up new accounts for the routing system.
  2. Prints and sorts pick tickets for distribution to shippers
  3. Performs dispatching functions
  4. Reconciles driver manifests
  5. Coordinating 2nd run route dispatch in timely manner ensuring successful delivery.
  6. Overseeing order selecting of 2nd runs to be ready by 11:30am cutoff.
  7. Gathering and recording delivery time information from route drivers.
  8. Communicating with customer service on route driver locations as requested.
  9. Communicating with management and customer service regarding deliveries that will not be made within delivery windows.
  10. Communicating with management on truck breakdowns.
  11. Completing delivery logs daily and disbursement to management.
  12. Working with purchasing department on all product pick-ups, and assigning drivers to complete pick-ups and return product and paperwork to receiving.
  13. Communicating with management on any driver/delivery issues that arise during the course of the day.
  14. Performing other duties as directed by management.


  1. Basic knowledge of computer programs and functions including Windows, Microsoft Office and AS400 applications preferred.
  2. Minimum 1 year experience in a transportation/warehouse environment

Office environment with a large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures are cool and noise level can be moderate to high.
