Qualifications:
This role is integral to the workings of the trauma center through data abstraction, analysis, entry, and report writing; performance improvement; epidemiology; and participation in the trauma program as a whole. This candidate works on computers however must have excellent communication and investigative skills to assist with identifying the trauma patients and all data relating to them from the registry perspective.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)- associates degree preferred

Experience:
Previous Trauma Registry experience or equivalent ICD-10 and AIS coding; anatomy knowledge essential

Training
:
Certified in Trauma Registry preferred (CSTR); AIS 2005 course

Skills:
Critical thinking, computer skills including Microsoft office, 10-key data entry, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions.
